Meet the Lyrebird Preschool educators and carers
We have a loyal, dedicated team of educators and support staff here at Lyrebird Preschool. Many have been with us for years while others are gaining valuable work-experience or qualifications from training facilities to take up a future in Early Childhood Education.
Our average 1:6 educator to children ratio is well-above the norm (or requirement) for pre-school facilities. We assign children into ‘home rooms’ so they know where they go each day: Possum Room and Bilby Room have assigned staff members to manage the room, outdoor activities, snack times and quiet times.
We know what a difference one-on-one care can make.
Every child is important. Personal interaction is essential. It all means every learning activity or playtime is extra special at Lyrebird –and our team helps make it happen.
Our Team
Sharon O'Brien, Director/Teacher
Sharon is an Early Childhood Teacher and is the Nominated Supervisor for the preschool.
Sharon works 5 days per week and can be found in the office from Monday to Wednesday and the Possum Room on Thursday and Friday.
Marianne Parry, Educator
Marianne holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and can be found in the Possum Room Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
Kate Cisneros, Teacher
Kate is an Early Childhood Teacher in the Bilby Room and currently working Monday and Tuesday. Kate job shares with Corrin.
Kayleen Lawrence, Educator
Kayleen holds a Certificate III in Children’s Services and can be found in the Bilby Room Tuesday through to Friday.
Leyna Clarke, Educator
Leyna holds a Diploma in Children's Services and can be found in the Bilby room working Monday through to Thursday.
Melinda Betts, Educator
Melinda holds a Diploma in Children's Services and can be found in the Bilby room working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
